Life Factors There are five life factors that can effect a person’s growth and development, these are; †¢ Genetic †¢ Biological †¢ Environmental †¢ Socioeconomic †¢ Lifestyle Genetic Factors Determinism/Choice and Interaction Determinism is the belief that your future is fixed or determined, either by what you have genetically inherited or by your social environment and experience. The alternative to determinism is choice and interaction this is the belief that people can take control of their own lives through the choices they make. It is sometimes referred to as the ‘free will’ viewpoint. A painful obstruction of the penis by sickle cells. If not promptly treated, it can result in impotence. Any and all major organs are affected by sickle cell disease. The liver, heart, kidneys, gallbladder, eyes, bones, and joints can suffer damage from the abnormal function of the sickle cells and their inability to flow through the small blood vessels correctly. Problems may include the following: †¢ Increased infections †¢ Leg ulcers †¢ Bone damage †¢ Early gallstones †¢ Kidney damage and loss of body water in the urine †¢ Eye damage †¢ Multiple organ failure Development Delays in reference to a child aged 6-18 Physical Development – Due to the low levels of red blood cells, this hinders the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to organs, tissues and cells. People with Sickle Cell Anemia will have a lower than average height and weight than those with normal hemoglobin. This lower than average height and weight continues until late adolescence. These two types of persuasion are have created a strategy that a lot of companies in societies today are using it. One of the most famous companies that’s using it is McDonalds.
